Never Touch A Hamster After Terrapins
Fellow members please do take note of the following:
Do not attempt to handle a hamster after handling a terrapin.
Terrapins although cute are still reptiles and reptiles carry germs and might even have micro organisms living on them.
They mainly carry Salmonella which can be transmitted from animals to humans and from humans to animals. As we [humans] have a better immune system it is very unlikely for us to get affected easily. But our little furry pals on the other hand would need as much protection as we can give.
Symptoms for such cases would be severe diarrhea which can easily cause dehydration and death.
*Do also note that there are other causes for hamster diarrhea too.
